Managing Director: Jesse Schulman is an experienced corporate finance executive and the founder of Capital Systematics. He was a biotechnology and pharmaceuticals analyst and later headed a corporate finance group at investment banking firm Friedman Billings Ramsey. He then became partner at biotech business development consultancy Capel Thompson & Homer and led transaction teams at life sciences boutique Ferghana Partners. He is also an award-winning former journalist. He holds a BA in Mathematics and a PhD in Neurosciences.
Chief Investment Officer: Peter Li is an experienced portfolio manager across a broad range of cash securities and derivative asset classes. He was director and senior trader on the emerging market credit trading desk at Citigroup in London, where he managed portfolio of some $300m in government bonds, corporate bonds, and credit and interest rate derivatives. Previously, was Head of Emerging Market Credit Derivatives Trading at Merrill Lynch in New York. He began his financial career at JPMorgan in New York as a trader on the emerging market fixed income desk. He holds a BS in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Maryland.
Financial Director: Laura Blom is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has many years of experience in treasury management and risk management at firms ranging from major international companies to financial services start-ups and private equity firms. She is Finance Director of business services firm Pasley-Tyler Holdings Ltd, a post she has held since 2008, and was Assistant Treasurer for Mobil North Sea, in charge of FX strategic risk analysis, foreign exchange and funding. She was Financial Director at First London Securities and Athenor Capital Partners. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from Imperial College and Dip Psych in Psychology from Royal Holloway.
Head of Risk: Andrew Sherski is a Compliance and corporate finance professional with seventeen years’ experience focusing on regulatory Compliance management and corporate finance advisory services. Initially at Cavendish Asset Management and later at Gateway he was responsible for the management of eTechnology VCT plc, a Venture Capital Trust with a focus on technology companies. Among other roles he was Senior Manager responsible for Compliance and risk management at Intrust Corporate Finance, a corporate finance advisory boutique. Andrew Sherski is a graduate of St Pauls School London and the University of Leeds, an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and holds a CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance.
